Hip replacement is usually a last resort treatment for patients with severe hip pain whose daily lives are affected by the pain, including those with arthritis, fractures, bone death, or other conditions. In this procedure, the diseased bone and cartilage are replaced with a metal ball and plastic cup. Most patients who undergo hip surgery achieve successful relief from their condition, including pain relief, restored function, and an improvement to their overall quality of life! www.toctulsa.com/specialties/treatments/knee-hip/ ... A platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection is an orthopedic therapy that uses a patient's platelets to accelerate the healing of damaged joints, ligaments, tendons, or muscles. Your plasma contains proteins that help your blood clot as well as support cell growth. By isolating the plasma and concentrating it, it can promote healing when injected into injured tissue. When injected, the body will begin creating new, healthy cells that help the body's tissues heal faster. Give us a call to learn more about PRP injections! #orthopedics #prpinjections ... Partial & Full Hip Replacement

A partial replacement only replaces the ball portion of the joint with a metal ball and stem. A Total Joint Replacement procedure replaces both the ball and socket.

Partial & Full Knee Replacement

A partial knee replacement, as its name suggests, replaces only the affected compartment of the knee. On the other hand, a total knee replacement involves the replacement of all three compartments of the knee.

Hip & Knee Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is a procedure for diagnosing and treating joint problems. Dr. Mittal inserts a narrow tube attached to a fiber-optic video camera through a small incision — about the size of a buttonhole. The view inside your joint is transmitted to a high-definition video monitor for optimal visualization.

ACL Repair/Reconstruction

ACL reconstruction is surgery to replace a torn anterior cruciate ligament — a major ligament in your knee. ACL injuries most commonly occur during sports that involve sudden stops and changes in direction — such as soccer, football, basketball and volleyball.

"I had a left total knee last year and I absolutely appreciate the professionalism and compassion I received from Dr. Mittal and his entire team. I have rare auto immune disease and was nervous about surgery and after care but throughout the entire process Dr. Mittal or his team was there to answer any questions. My knee is doing amazing and it has improved my quality of life. I would and do highly recommend Dr. Mittal and his team to everyone."

“After spending almost 2 yrs in extreme pain from a total knee replacement from another doctor I was referred to Dr. Mittal and he went in and fixed what other surgeon messed up. Now it's been almost 2 years and I can walk without any assistance from cane or walker. Dr. Mittal is the best. And he really cares about his patients.”

“My hip replacement has been nothing short of miraculous! If I could give Dr. Mittal 100 stars out of 5 stars, I would. I whole heartedly recommend him! My surgery was two weeks ago, and I've not experienced any complications or pain. I am already walking without the aid of a cane and even doing wall-supported squats and side-to-side steps during my home health physical therapy appointments. The bandages came off this morning, and my scar looks fantastic. I know that recovery is an individual thing, and mine has been simply amazing! If you are contemplating total hip replacement, I suggest that you use Dr. Mittal. He is regularly recognized as one of-if not THE best orthopedic surgeons in the state of Oklahoma."

Hip Patient

“I've been dealing with knee pain issues for 7 years. I had been receiving treatment at Tulsa Bone & Joint, getting knee injections every 6 months, for the last 5 years. The Doctors there kept putting me off and did not seem to want to do the replacement surgery. It may be because I am only 42 years old and I know they consider this too young for a replacement. It was desperately needed though. I was referred to Dr. Yogesh Mittal by a friend and retired surgeon. When we met for the initial consultation Dr. Mittal was prompt, straight forward and to the point; and most important, confident and unafraid to do the replacement procedure that, he agreed, was desperately needed. He took the time to explain everything to me, we discussed the robotic assist and the options you can elect to help promote the healing process. Once surgery was scheduled the entire process and procedures ran like a well oiled machine. From check in, to pre-op, surgery, everything! Each and every person along the way were pleasant, confident in their jobs and knowledge, and made you feel at peace. Dr. Mittal did an exceptional job with the surgery! I am now 4 weeks out and walking without assistance. I am excited to return this fall to have the other knee replaced! I would recommend Dr. Yogesh Mittal to anyone, because I know you do not only get the industry-leading expertise this surgeon provides, but also the support and wisdom of his entire team!”
